Bringing up children - a good work!

Did you know that bringing up children in the bible is classified as a good work? Yes, may be you are stuck at home, looking after the children, you are doing a good work according to scripture.

1 Timothy 5:9-10

No widow may be put on the list of widows unless she is over sixty, has been faithful to her husband,and is well known for her good deeds, such as bringing up children, showing hospitality, washing the feet of the saints, helping those in trouble and devoting herself to all kinds of good deeds.

From the above scripture, bringing up children, lodging strangers, washing the saints feet and relieving the afflicted are all classified as good works.

So if you are currently bringing up children you are doing a good work in the sight of the Lord.

Keep the good work up and do it diligently.
