I got saved about 4 years ago. I was working out, when a women came up to me and told me the Truth about Jesus. Her name was Marie. I owe the Lord my life. I owe this woman because she responded to the Lord's beckoning.
What if she didn't listen to the Lord, then. Many don't- when He calls people to do His works. Think about it. I just got divorced. I was so depressed. God came at the right moment.
OF COURSE!!! I went through a type of Hell on earth for the better part of my life. How much more would I have had to endure if she did'nt speak to me at that time. Thank God for devoted Christians!!!
I accepted Christ as my Saviour at that time. The thing is, I went right back to my old lifestyle because I didn't read the Word of God. I did not understand anything.
Who I was in Christ Jesus. So a year later, God sent me another Christian, who wrote a lot of papers explaining verses.
He would take verses and use them with example of life's situations. I finally started getting it. I knew that I was saved one year back, but I didn't experience the presence of the Holy Spirit until I made a statement in front of a witness,
The statement consisted of: I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died on the Cross for my sins. I believe that that Jesus rose from the dead. Then, I asked "Jesus to come into my heart and take over my Life."
At that moment, I felt an inner peace come over me. I knew that something had happened to me at that point. I went to work the next day with only a few (2 or 3) hours of sleep.
I was so awake and full of peace and joy. Nothing/No one could knock me down. I started witnessing to people what Jesus did for me. They looked at me like I was some kind of a nut, but I didn't care. I was so happy!!!
Praise the Lord Jesus Christ, The Father and The Holy Spirit!!!
