Don't take your strength for granted

Proverbs 20 verse 29 says that ?The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey head'

The word glory means - that aspect in a person or God worthy of praise, honour or respect: often associated with brightness or splendour in *theophanies.

Hence the bible is saying, that the aspect in a young man worthy of praise, honour or respect is his strength.

Sometimes it appears that we take our strength for granted, forgetting that it is our glory, only available for a season.

No one will stay young forever; we are only young for a season, and after this time our glory will shift from strength to grey hair.

As many of us that are young, let us glorify God with what he has given us, at a time like this.

Further Scripture reading: Ecclesiastes 12 : 1, Psalm 90 :12

*The theophanies is a theological term referring to the manifestation or appearance of God to man.
