You will reap what you Sow

The word judgment is seldom heard as it is not a popular word, however, scripture clearly teaches about judgment.

1 Peter 4:17 says? for the time is come that judgment must begin in the house of God and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?.

We are also familiar with the scripture in Galatians 6:7 which says ?Be not deceived God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap?. This scripture is used mostly just before offerings are received in churches, however the word ?whatsoever? is not limited to money.

Jacob is a good example in the bible of reaping what he sowed. Jacob?s sons deceived their father into thinking that Joseph, his beloved son, was dead. This deception did not last for days but years.

Imagine the heartache and deception over those years. Nevertheless, before we forget, Jacob himself had deceived his own father, Isaac, into thinking and accepting he was Esau. What heartache he would have brought upon his own father, receiving a blessing from him by deceit due to his fathers? blindness and old age.

Isaac had sensed that Jacob was not Esau
Genesis 27:20 ?And Isaac said unto his son, how is it that thou hast found it so quickly my son? And he said, because the Lord thy God brought it to me?. Not only did Jacob deceive his father he lied against God.

The pain that Esau felt must have been deep when he discovered what had happened, Genesis 27:34 says? He cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry?.

Jacob thought he got away with it. Although Esau forgave him, His own sons deceived him for years. Think about all those years that his sons hid from him the fact that Joseph his beloved son was actually sold into slavery and not dead.

Although Jacob was blessed, he still came to face the consequences of his actions. He sowed deception and he reaped deception. The consequences came and stayed with him for the rest of his life.

You may say ?but l am not that bad, I won?t go to such length
to deceive someone?. Lets examine our selves and treat people right. The simple principle ?do unto others as you would them to do unto you? would have saved the above situation.

Perhaps you look down on people because you feel that they are not in your social group. Or maybe you do not appreciate people that God has placed in your life.

Remember that whatever you don?t value eventually you will loose. God loves people and He shed the same blood for everyone. We all have access to the same Word and the one blood. Begin to see people the way God sees them. Remember that there is no respect of persons with God.

Don?t look back in your later years only to find out that you have aborted all your relationships because of the way you behaved over the years.

Jacob was blessed but still judged. Don?t be deceived and think that because you are so blessed you won?t be judged.

God has given us a way of escape. 1 Corinthians 11:31 says ?For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged? Lets walk in love, examine ourselves and treat people right. Lets sow good seeds when dealing with others.
